Trauma Therapy in Houston

PTSD & CPTSD Treatment With Trauma-Informed Care

Speak With Admissions

Trauma does not mean you are broken. It means your system adapted to survive. With the right care, those patterns can change.

Heights Treatment Is Here to Help

The Heights Treatment provides trauma therapy in Houston through a trauma-informed outpatient model designed for PTSD, complex PTSD (CPTSD), and trauma-related anxiety, depression, and substance use.

Trauma can show up as hypervigilance, emotional numbness, panic, irritability, nightmares, dissociation, or feeling stuck in survival mode. We do not rush trauma work. We prioritize safety, stabilization, and nervous system regulation, then use evidence-based therapies to help you process experiences at a pace your body can tolerate.

If you feel unsafe or at risk of self-harm, call 911. If you need immediate emotional support in the U.S., call or text 988.

Recovery Is Possible

Our Trauma Treatment Focus

We treat trauma as a whole-person, mind–body experience. That means addressing safety, nervous system regulation, trauma processing, co-occurring mental health, relationship patterns, and relapse risk together.

EMDR for Trauma Recovery

Process traumatic memories safely and reduce the intensity of triggers, flashbacks, and intrusive thoughts.

CBT for Trauma Symptoms

Challenge trauma-driven beliefs, reduce avoidance, and build practical coping tools for daily life.

DBT for Regulation

Strengthen distress tolerance and emotion regulation so trauma responses feel less reactive and overwhelming.

Neurofeedback

Support sleep, focus, and nervous system stability, especially when hyperarousal or shutdown is present.

Mindfulness & Grounding

Build present-moment awareness and grounding skills to reduce dissociation, panic, and overwhelm.

Family Support

Strengthen communication, boundaries, and support systems so healing can last outside the therapy room.

For Partners and Loved Ones

Support is available for the whole system, not just one person.

When depression, anxiety, trauma symptoms, mood swings, or shutdown start affecting daily life, families often feel confused, worried, and exhausted. You may be trying to help while also protecting your own stability.

We help loved ones understand what is happening clinically, improve communication, and create clear next steps that support safety, accountability, and progress at home.

What Loved Ones Can Expect

Confidential admissions guidance

We can speak with you about what you are seeing, what level of care may fit, and how to approach a first conversation safely and effectively.

Family education and involvement

We provide structured education, communication support, and guidance on boundaries and accountability. Family involvement is paced based on clinical readiness and safety.

Aftercare and continuity planning

Recovery needs structure after discharge. We build a plan that supports accountability, relapse prevention, and ongoing support for both the client and the family system.
