A partial hospitalization program, known as PHP, is an outpatient program that is the ideal option for clients coming directly from a residential treatment program. PHP is also a good option for those who need more structure but are unable to commit to or afford the cost of a residential treatment program. PHP offers clients both the structure of being in treatment 5 days per week, for approximately 6 hours per day, with the luxury of living in their own home or sober living house environment.
At Heights Treatment, clients in our Houston PHP program will have the opportunity to participate in treatment Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 4:15pm. Group therapy is offered on topics including but not limited to Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, healthy sex and love, emotional sobriety, spiritual sobriety, art psychotherapy, recovery skills, grief and loss, and trauma-informed yoga. Clients also receive individual attention with Neurofeedback and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Each client is assigned a Primary Therapist as well as a Family Coordinator. The client and the Primary Therapist meet for individual therapy sessions 2 times per week and work together to create an individualized treatment plan, customized to the unique needs of each client.
At Heights Treatment, we strongly believe that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to treatment, and we work hard to collaborate with each client to create a treatment plan that is unique to the individual. We recognize the importance of including the entire family system in treatment; therefore, each Houston PHP program client is also assigned a Family Coordinator , who will work with the client and their family to continue the healing process.
