Her work with these organizations exemplifies her exceptional expertise and unwavering commitment to providing accurate and reliable information to those seeking assistance.
Amanda’s personal journey of recovery from disordered eating fuels her dedication to her profession. Through her own experiences, she has gained firsthand insight into the challenges faced by individuals seeking healing and transformation. Amanda continuously seeks to deepen her understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health and addiction, undertaking specialized courses on Stress & Human Health and Substance Abuse and Health through Purdue University. This ongoing pursuit of knowledge underscores Amanda’s commitment to maintaining the highest level of expertise in her field.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, Joni brings a deep understanding of societal challenges. Which is further complemented by her specialization in nuanced and often stigmatized areas of addiction. In Joni’s pursuit of holistic healing, she has obtained diverse training in EMDR, Pia Mellody’s Post Induction Therapy, and Dr. Brené Brown’s The Daring Way methodology.
Joni’s depth of experience, combined with her passion for enhancing the lives of those struggling with addiction and mental health challenges, positions her not only as our CEO but also as a beacon of hope and a driving force in the therapeutic community.

Before medical school, Dr. Hsu finished a master’s degree at Harvard University and wrote a thesis on neuroimaging in schizophrenia patients at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospital. Dr. Hsu was also a part of the team of the 2008 NASA Phoenix Lander Mission, which sent a robotic spacecraft to the North polar region of Mars. Dr. Hsu also had research experience at Boston Children’s Hospital, another Harvard Medical School-affiliated Hospital, on neuroimaging in neonates.
Since graduating from medical school, Dr. Hsu has been working as a full-time medical writer and consultant. Dr. Hsu currently lends his expertise to several esteemed addiction treatment centers as an expert contributor. Dr. Hsu believes good communications between healthcare providers and patients create the best results.
